Our Hurley Teen Health Check Student Heart Screening Program combines a simple health history and noninvasive screening to look for signs of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). This is a serious heart condition that is the leading cause of sudden cardiac death in young athletes. HCM affects approximately one in 500 people, and does not usually have any symptoms. The stress on the heart during strenuous activities puts our students at higher risk for sudden death.
Thank you very much for coming to Clio! Our community supports your efforts with our young people; and we know that there is even more that can be done in the area of health, fitness, and nutrition. We look forward to working with you on many other projects in the future.
We could not have done it without you!! See our great group of volunteers who helped at the Celebrity Server. We raised funds for the 2013/2014 year to help those in need in the Clio area. We had a fun time - as you can see. We worked hard and it was well worth the effort! A Special Thank you to all the Big Boy staff that helped make this event a success!
