*February Calendar Fills Up with Clio Area Events

February looks like a great month in Clio:

Every Friday:  Special Events at the Senior Center on Vienna Road.  Don't miss these new events.

February 6,7,8 and February 13,14,15:  Cast and Crew presents "Crimes of the Heart," a comedy. 810-687-2588

Thursday, February 12:  Chamber Lunch at MCC: Genesee County Collaborative meets with Clio Area organizations. All local clubs, organizations, governmental units, and educators are encouraged to attend to learn about services for Clio residents.

Saturday, February 14th:  Old Newsboys Fundraiser at Warwick Hills. Call 744-1840.

Saturday, February 14th:  Clio Athletic Boosters fundraiser at the Clio Country Club.  All invited. Tickets at the High School.

Tuesday, February 17th:  Rogers Lodge: Congressman Dan Kildee speaks to Clio Rotary. All invited

Sunday, February 22nd:  Cast and Crew fundraiser at downtown Flint Masonic Temple from 11am-2pm: $11

Tuesday, February 24th:  Clio Schools' Boys and Girls Basketball teams play at the Palace. Tickets at Clio Athletic office.

* Lunch for $1.99 At the Clio Big Boy.  Soup and 1/2 sandwich for $1.99.  With beverage only $2.99.  But you can pay whatever you can afford and all cash over that amount goes to the Clio Area Human Services Fund to support local families in need.

A new schedule of winter classes now available: Watercolor, Sewing Totes, Doll Making, Pottery, Beginning Mosaics, Beginning Photo Shop, Colored Pencil, Pen, Ink, and Oil Rouging, Zen-Doodle, Children's Arts and Crafts, Clay with Me, and Oil Painting classes.

* Congressman Dan Kildee to Visit Clio! Feb. 17th at 7:30 AM at Rogers Lodge, Congressman Dan Kildee will speak about federal issues and local concerns.  ALL ARE INVITED!  It is free admission, and a free breakfast by Rotary.  This is a huge opportunity to have Congressman Kildee take the concerns of Clio and the Northern Tier to Washington.  No reservations required.  BE THERE!

*  BDA: Thanks to the Vienna BDA for putting up the lights on Vienna near the expressway.  They look GREAT!  Also, yea, finally another family restaurant!  Applebees in Clio!

DID YOU KNOW? There is a drug dropoff box at City Hall in the Police Department.  Anytime.

Come and see the new park benches, BBQ grills, picnic tables!  Take a walk and see the Monarch butterfly station and learn what Clio is doing to help provide for these beautiful butterflies and see all the new plantings established this summer.
